FIVE GUYS BURGERS & FRIES 10/23/12 Brooklyn, New York

Theres not too much to be said, Every time I have treated myself to a Five Guys Burger I am totally satisfied, they are pretty much Burger Perfection.

As always way too many French Fries even in the Regular sized order but I'm not complaining. Pictured above is the cup of Fries (remember theres an equal if not larger amount in the greasy bag they are served in), complimentary Peanuts, Ketchup, Malt Vinegar and a Bacon Cheeseburger with Pickles, Mayo and Grilled Onions.

PANCHO'S RESTAURANT 9/29/12 Brooklyn, New York

Authentic Mexican Food can be found very commonly in New York but some places are just Wonderfully Delicious, Pancho's is one of these places. The Good Yeggs were playing on the corner at the Three Jolly Pigeons Bar and arriving just early enough to grab a quick bite.

Jamie got the Enchilada.

Chimichanga

6/9/12 - Tostada's

10/14/12 - Bistec (Steak) Nachos - Pancho's To Go at Sean's house.

The Tinga Sopes retained too much of the Corn Tortilla (or in this case Sope) flavor but I knew that as I read the menu, Delicious but too "Corny" for my western palate.

NOT ONLY BAGELS 8/29/12 Brooklyn, New York

The Chicken Torta ($5.50) from my newest corner Bagel store which opened on the site of Palermitana Bakery.

This sandwich took almost 10 minutes to prepare as it was made from scratch and that's not a bad thing at all. Served on a Roll topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Queso Blanco, Avocado, some type of Pickled Pepper, what can only be described as a Muffaletta style spread and 3 small thinly sliced Chicken Cutlets dry spiced on the grill and also doused in that lemonade looking agent many places use during grilling.

4/26/13 - Steak Tacos - Delicious and only $2.25 apiece with Cilantro, Onions and Tomato, could have used more Taco Sauce and some Lime but the mastication of the Minute Steak left me very impressed. Queso Fresco was absent.

12/4/13 - Come December I decide to make Chili proper as in Canned Tomatoes and Real Jalapeno's as opposed to the Pickled and Jarred type. I prepare everything majestically and slow Cook for hours. These are the months of my "splint" finger and whilst removing the Pan from the Stovetop it goes careening (in slow motion of course) out of my hand. The Very First thought is "What can I save and Salvage !!!!!!?". Well there was broken glass involved as I had burst the lid on my Olde Faithful Saucepan so I saved what I could and it was Very Delicious. JalapeƱo's could have been spicier but I am still learning.

The main remembrance (aside from all of that lost Chili goodness) was that at 48 years of age I wandered into my local Mexican Bagel Shop and have NO Idea what Fresh JalapeƱo cost's. I had my dollar in hand but was informed that my 2 Jalapeno's (see pic above) were. "2 for twenty five cents".

L & B SPUMONI GARDENS 8/27/12 Brooklyn, New York

We had the Classic L & B "SQUARE" as an appetizer.

2 Squares halved

of which one half of one square is pictured however being two squares this is indeed a photo of one fourth of the order as two squares yield four halves & a partridge in a pear tree.

I had the Chicken Francaise Plate with Linguini and Marinara on the side.

The Chicken Francaise "To Go" tin with Bread was visited in the wee small hours for a few kitchen nibbles over the weekend (3-4 dips) and I am realizing at the time (Thyme) of this typing that some leftovers remain back at Jamie's ! (or were they eaten in a blur ?) more to come.

I would be last in these entries but I photographed my food first unsure of wether or not other plates would follow and food works temporally in most cases.

You see some people frown on this type of photography. Fortunately I was asked to "Document" some of the wares on display by my famished ghouls and food mongers.

Jamie had the Fusilli with Sausage & Broccoli Rabe, or did it have her ?

This is Max' HUGE Chicken Parmigiana, I was most Envious.

Lighting in Spumoni Garden's was subtle and since I was not using a flash and taking these photos with my iPhone they did come out a bit atmospheric to say the least. People were talking LOUDLY as well but so goes with the Eye-Talian Cuisine.

PASS THE VINO !!!

Bill had the Shrimp Parmigiana, I witnessed him slice One (1) Shrimp into Four (4) Bite Sized Pieces, Now that's a Jumbo Swimp !!!

L & B Is One Of a Kind, A Brooklyn Treasure And Never Disappoints.

We will get you that Peach Spumoni Max !!!
